TermMeaning
WindowThe time during which a purchase can be undone. It starts when you buy and ends at the expiry its premium pays for.
PremiumWhat a window costs, in ETH, on top of the tax. Never refunded; it buys tokens back from the pool when the window closes, and they are burned.
Tax1% of the ETH side of every swap and every window, paid to the dev in ETH.
Held for youThe ETH a window spent on its tokens. Refundable to its owner, to the wei, until the expiry.
HoleThe range of the pool a window's tokens were taken from. Buyers cross it for free; it holds nothing a seller can reach.
UndoEnding a window before its expiry: the ETH back to its owner, the tokens back into the pool.
KeepEnding a window by taking the purchase: the tokens to the owner, the ETH into the pool. The owner can at any time; anyone can once it has run out.
HookKolanHook, the Uniswap v4 hook: the pool's only liquidity provider, the holder of every window, and the taker of the tax.
BookThe hook's record of its positions in the pool, in price order. Every window cuts into it and every close puts something back.
DevThe address the tax is paid to. It receives nothing else.
TickUniswap's unit of price: each one 0.01%. The pool's prices move in steps of 10, 0.1%.
