Introduction
Kolan is a token that trades on an ordinary Uniswap v4 pool, where a purchase can come with an undo window. Until the window ends, the ETH you spent is held in your name, and you can take every wei of it back.
What it is for#
A token launch asks for irreversible trust in its first hours. You send ETH to a contract you have not read, on the word of people you cannot identify, and if things go wrong your recourse is a screenshot. The usual fixes, a liquidity locker, a multisig, an audit badge, a promise not to sell, all ask you to believe someone.
Kolan's aim is narrower: make the first hours of a purchase reversible, and let the code be the reason rather than anyone's word. There is no owner, no admin key and no upgrade path, so there is nobody to trust with your ETH.
How it works, in short#
- The whole supply, one million tokens, sits in a Uniswap v4 pool from the first block, and nobody can take the liquidity out. The pool opens at a $10,000 market cap with no ETH in it.
- Anyone can trade it like any other token: on Uniswap, through an aggregator, or here. Every swap pays a 1% tax, in ETH.
- Here you can also buy with a window. The tokens your ETH buys are taken out of the pool and set aside for you, and your ETH is held apart.
- Until the window ends you can undo: every wei of that ETH comes back, and the tokens go back into the pool.
- Keep it, or let the window run out, and the tokens are yours and the ETH goes into the pool, as after any purchase.
Who does what#
| What they do | What they get | |
|---|---|---|
| Buyer | Buys with a premium, then undoes, keeps it early, or lets it run out | Tokens, and a priced right to undo the purchase |
| Trader, router or bot | Swaps on the Uniswap pool, like any token | An ordinary pool, with real liquidity and a 1% tax |
| Dev | Signs the launch once, then collects the tax | The 1% tax, in ETH. Never a token, never the liquidity |
Nobody is an admin. The liquidity is locked for good, and the supply can only go down: premiums buy tokens back and burn them.
