On Ethereum
Buy Kolan with a way out. Undo it until the window you paid for closes.
A window is insurance on your entry. The price can halve before you've read the contract. With a window, the most you lose while it's open is what you paid for it.
How far the price moves while the window is open
You buy 0.5 ETH of KLN, and the price moves
−40%
- Without a window
- −0.2050 ETH
- You hold KLN worth less than you paid.
- With a 6h window
- −0.0550 ETH
- You undo, and the 0.5000 ETH comes back.
The window saves you 0.1500 ETH here. It pays for itself once the price falls more than 10%.
0.5 ETH held for the window, 0.005 ETH tax, 0.05 ETH premium for six hours. KLN valued at the market price; the price impact of selling, and gas, are left out.
Four moments it pays off. From the minute you buy to the minute the window ends.
The price drops after you buy.
Undo before the window ends and every wei you spent on the tokens comes back. You lose the tax and the premium, not the fall.
You want time to check.
Read the contract, watch the dev, see who else bought. The window is the time you didn't have in the first block.
You changed your mind.
Undo it. The tokens go back into the pool they came from, and your ETH comes back in the same transaction.
It goes well.
Do nothing. The purchase is final when the window ends, and anyone can send your KLN to you.
01Buy
Pick an amount, then a window. Drag the window to how long you want to be able to change your mind. Its price is on screen before you sign anything.
- The longer the window, the more it costs: 0.05 ETH buys six hours, from 30 minutes up to 7 days.
- You see where every part goes: the ETH held for you, the premium, and the 1% tax every purchase pays.
- Don't want a window? Switch to No window and it is a plain Uniswap swap.
Undo before it ends and 0.5000 ETH comes back.
Buy with a 6h window02While it's open
Your purchase waits in Your windows. With a countdown. Your ETH is held for you, and your KLN are taken out of the pool and set aside until it ends.
- Only you can get that ETH back. Not the dev, not Kolan, nobody else.
- The countdown follows the chain's clock, not your computer's.
- Meanwhile buyers pay the price after your purchase, and sellers can't reach your ETH: the pool behaves as if you had bought, without your ETH in it.
03Undo
Changed your mind? Undo. Confirm in your wallet, and every wei you spent on the tokens comes back in the same transaction.
- The KLN go back into the pool, where they came from.
- The tax and the premium aren't refunded. They paid for the time you had.
- In the last seconds before the window ends, the button locks, so you never send an undo that arrives too late.
The rest stays open and 0.2000 ETH comes back now.
Undo · +0.2000 ETH04Keep now
Sure before the end? Keep it now. Keep now ends the window on the spot and sends the KLN to your wallet.
- The KLN land in your wallet and your ETH goes into the pool, as if you had just bought.
- You give up the rest of the window, and the premium stays paid.
- Once kept, the purchase can no longer be undone.
Ends the window now instead of in 2h 05m. The 57,958 KLN land in your wallet and the premium stays paid. You can't undo after this.
05When it ends
At the deadline, it's yours. You don't have to be there. The purchase is final when the window ends, and anyone can send your KLN to you.
- Receive sends the KLN to your wallet and your ETH into the pool.
- Anyone can send it for you, and the KLN still only go to you.
- Your premium then buys KLN back from the pool, and they are burned.
06Sell
Selling is a plain Uniswap swap. KLN in your wallet sell into the Uniswap pool at any time, at a price you see before you sign.
- The first sale asks for two approvals, once: the token to Permit2, then Permit2 to Uniswap's router.
- KLN still inside your own window can't be sold yet. Undo, keep now, or wait.
- The 1% tax comes out of the ETH you receive, as on every swap.
A plain swap through Uniswap's Universal Router, at the pool's price.
Sell 10,000 KLNWhere your ETH goes. Every purchase splits in three. Only the ETH held for you has a choice attached, and the choice is yours until the deadline.
You send
0.5550 ETH
Back to your wallet, in the transaction that undoes it.
Your KLN go back into the pool. You paid 0.0550 for the window.
Goes into the pool when the window ends, where your KLN came from.
Your 57,958 KLN are sent to you; anyone can send them.
The 1% tax goes to the dev. The premium buys KLN back from the pool, and they are burned.
The tax is the only thing the dev ever receives.
Held for you · only you can take it out, and only before the deadline.
Pool liquidity · only pays people selling KLN back. Nobody can withdraw it, the dev included.
Dev · gets the 1% tax in ETH, never a token, never the ETH in the pool.
